Which product data is allowed to rename in your store?

Check which data you can rename of the products via Syncee.

If you have imported products from the Syncee Marketplace into your store, please take care of which data you rename of the products you have from Syncee.

You can change the following product fields as we do not update them automatically by default: Title, Description, Product type, Vendor, Tags, SEO Meta Title, SEO Meta description, Compare at Price, Barcode.

Changing these details depends on your catalog settings in Syncee: Price, Inventory Quantity, Cost Per Item.

Please DO NOT change these product data to avoid any issues: SKU, Option name, Option value.

Changing product details in Syncee

It may happen that you need to modify specific product details or you wish to modify how the different variations appear in your store. In such cases, you may use the Product Editor and the Variant Renaming features.

Product Editor

The following details can be changed in Syncee for each product - this may change based on the e-commerce platform you are using:

  • Product Name

  • Product Tags

  • Product Type

  • Brand/Vendor

  • SEO Title

  • SEO Description

  • Product Description

  • Variants names, values (and images, before uploading the products)

  • Use your own pricing

  • Compare at price

  • Assign images to the variants

    • In case the supplier did not assign the variant images to their respective variants, you can do so by utilizing this feature

    • To choose an image for the variants, just click on the “missing image” icon next to the SKU

    • Please note that this is possible only before uploading the product to your store

Once you are ready with the modifications, to apply the changes in your store, you just need to Save the changes and click on the Sync modified products button.

Variant Renaming

In some cases, the products' variants (option names and values) need to be modified, if the supplier does not provide the data in the language you prefer in your store or you would like to use different names for them.

You can make these changes for every product in the selected catalog, you do not need to modify them one-by-one.
